Francis Ford Coppola’s ambitious cinematic project Megalopolis—a futuristic epic that blends science fiction, politics, and myth—has inspired a new creative expansion: a graphic novel spin-off. Announced in early 2024, the adaptation brings Coppola’s visionary world to life through the dynamic collaboration of the filmmaker and acclaimed comic book artist Alex Ross, known for his photorealistic style and iconic work with Marvel and DC.

Ross contributed not only his art but also a narrative framework that captures the mythic tone of Coppola’s screenplay. The collaboration fuses cinematic pacing with the intimate detail of the printed page, offering fans an immersive experience that bridges film and comic book traditions.
The graphic novel is set for release in late 2024, ahead of the film’s anticipated theatrical debut. It will be published by Bard Press, a new imprint under Bard Entertainment, Coppola’s multimedia production company.
With Megalopolis already generating buzz for its artistic ambition and star-studded cast—including Nathalie Portman, Giancarlo Esposito, and Laurence Fishburne—this spin-off promises to deepen the mythos of a world that dares to imagine a city reborn through vision, courage, and art.
