Francis Ford Coppola’s highly anticipated film Megalopolis—a visionary sci-fi epic blending architecture, politics, and myth—has inspired a surprising new spin-off: a companion graphic novel. Announced in 2024, the graphic novel, titled Megalopolis: The World Beyond the Walls, expands the universe of Coppola’s sprawling narrative, offering fans a deeper dive into the world of the futuristic city-state of New Rome, its ambitious architect Cesar Catilina (played by Adam Driver), and the turbulent political and personal forces shaping the metropolis.
The graphic novel is co-written by Coppola himself and illustrated by acclaimed artist David Mack (known for Daredevil, Avatar: The Last Airbender), with vibrant, cinematic artwork that mirrors the film’s stylized grandeur.
