Extracting Items in R.E.P.O.: A Guide

Author : Hazel May 07,2025

In the thrilling cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, players are tasked with a seemingly simple yet highly challenging mission: retrieve valuable items and survive the ordeal. The game's environment is fraught with randomly spawning monsters, making every retrieval a nerve-wracking adventure. Successfully escaping with your loot not only provides a sense of accomplishment but also rewards you handsomely. These rewards, in the form of cash, can be used to purchase essential survival gear, helping you better prepare for future expeditions. However, the menacing AI Taxman ensures you stay on your toes, constantly pushing you to optimize your strategies.

Securing these valuable items involves reaching an Extraction Point, where your C.A.R.T full of treasures is assessed, and the Taxman decides your fate. Successfully navigating to the Service Station with your cash intact is the ultimate goal, allowing you to spend your earnings on vital upgrades and equipment.

As you delve deeper into *R.E.P.O.*, the extraction process becomes more intuitive. What initially appears daunting soon transforms into a manageable routine as you master the levels and outsmart the lurking monsters.

How to Extract in R.E.P.O.

In your initial foray into *R.E.P.O.*, you'll encounter only one Extraction Point. However, as you progress to new locations, the number of Extraction Points can increase, with a maximum of four. Keeping track of how many drop-offs are required is straightforward; just check the red number in the right-hand corner of your screen, which also indicates how many you've already completed.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point is conveniently located near your R.E.P.O. truck, ensuring a familiar starting point for your first haul. Subsequent Extraction Points, however, can be trickier to locate.

After dropping off your initial C.A.R.T.-full, continue navigating the level. The challenge here is twofold: you won't know the Taxman's demand or the location of the next Extraction Point until you reach the area. This is where your in-game map, accessible by pressing "Tab" on your keyboard, becomes invaluable. It helps you plan your routes and, if playing cooperatively, coordinate with your team to cover more ground efficiently.

You'll discover the next Extraction Point either by sight or sound once you're in the right area. Upon locating it, press the big red button to learn if you've gathered enough items. If successful, place your C.A.R.T within the designated grey area to ensure all items are accounted for and not destroyed.

After completing the required number of Extraction Points, you'll either move on to the next one or strive to return to the truck unscathed. Note that after the final Extraction Point, you don't need to take the C.A.R.T back to the truck; a new one will spawn in the next location or level.

Now that you're well-versed in extracting items in *R.E.P.O.*, be sure to explore our other guides for more tips and strategies to enhance your gameplay experience.
