Call Break Gameplay:

Call Break is typically played by four players using a standard 52-card deck. Cards rank A (high) to 2 (low) within each suit. The game unfolds over three or five rounds. A random card draw determines the first dealer, who then deals the cards clockwise. The player to the dealer's right leads the first trick.

Any card can be led. Players must follow suit if possible. If a player cannot follow suit, they must play a spade (trump suit), provided it beats any existing spades in the trick.

Winning Call Break:

The highest-scoring card in a trick wins, or the highest card of the led suit if no spades are played. To win the round, a player must win at least the number of spades they bid. Successful bids add to the score, with extra points awarded for exceeding the bid. Unsuccessful bids result in point deductions.

A round is redealt if: a) A player receives no spade cards; or b) A player receives no face cards (J, Q, K, A).
