Hexanaut.io is an addictive io game where your goal is to capture as much territory as you can. Carefully navigate without crossing your own path or getting cut off by rivals. HOW TO PLAY HEXANAUT

Guide your line across the map using your mouse. Venture beyond your owned area to draw a new boundary and claim fresh land. Once you reconnect with your starting territory, the enclosed area becomes yours.

Leaving your safe zone comes with risks. If an opponent intercepts your trail, you'll lose your progress and respawn.

Aim to control 20% of the map to earn the Hexanaut title. Maintain this dominance for two full minutes to achieve victory!

Warning: If you are eliminated while another player holds the Hexanaut status, you cannot rejoin that match.

CAPTURING TOTEMS

Hexanaut.io features five unique totems, each providing distinct advantages. Secure them whenever possible to boost your chances of winning and becoming the Hexanaut.

SPREADING TOTEM

The Spreading Totem is the only one that directly captures tiles for you. After activation, it emits lasers that claim adjacent hexes one by one. This is incredibly valuable early on when securing territory is challenging.

SPEED TOTEM

The Speed Totem boosts your movement speed by 5%. While this seems modest, stacking multiple totems creates a significant advantage. Prioritize collecting them for a noticeable edge.

TELEPORTING GATE

Teleporting Gates provide instant travel between two points. They are perfect for quickly crossing large territories or surprising opponents. Use them to defend remote areas or ambush rivals who think they're safe.

SLOWING TOTEM

The Slowing Totem creates a zone that drastically reduces the speed of any enemy who enters. Use this area to trap and eliminate opponents who dare to trespass. Avoid enemy slow zones whenever possible to prevent becoming an easy target.

SPY DISH

The Spy Dish reveals the location of all enemy territories. This becomes crucial as your domain expands, allowing you to monitor threats and defend vulnerable borders from opportunistic players.
