Schell Games, in collaboration with publisher Innersloth, has unveiled the much-anticipated release date for Among Us 3D. On April 16, the official Twitter (X) account of Among Us 3D confirmed that players can mark their calendars for May 6, 2025.

Originally known as Among Us VR, this game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to provide a more expansive experience. This includes cross-play multiplayer capabilities, allowing players from different platforms to connect seamlessly. The introduction of a new currency, Stardust, which does not expire, offers players greater freedom in choosing their in-game purchases.

Among Us 3D is packed with innovative features such as a permanent Tag Mode with the Infected role, built-in proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and a variety of new and returning mini-games. Additionally, players can expect an array of fresh cosmetics to customize their characters.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is distinct from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. Cross-play between these two games is not supported. According to the FAQs on Schell Games' website, Among Us 3D is designed to offer a unique experience tailored specifically for PC players. The developers stated, "Separating the versions during this development allowed/allows us to continue to bring quality updates to our Among Us VR beans while ensuring the highest quality and tailored experience for our new PC players."
