As a prequel series to a standalone film, many viewers were pleasantly astonished by Andor's exceptional quality. Following what many consider the most somber Star Wars movie, the Disney+ show traces Cassian Andor's (Diego Luna) evolution from a petty criminal to the pivotal revolutionary we meet in Rogue One. Even with the destination of Andor's journey already known, the show's gripping espionage and deeply human narratives combine to form what is arguably the finest live-action Star Wars series to date.
Two and a half years later, the series is back for its second and concluding season, and the extended wait appears to have been justified. In his 9/10 review, Clint Gage notes that Andor Season 2 "builds on nearly everything that worked so well about Season 1, further enriching the prequel era of Star Wars. As the story of the rebellion's unsung heroes, Andor crafts intimate, personal tales set against a vast, galactic conflict."
Andor Season 2 premieres tonight on the Disney-owned streaming platform with a slightly unconventional episode release pattern. Here’s everything you need to know to watch.

Beyond Disney+, the only other way to own Andor is by purchasing the physical release. Season 1 is available on Blu-ray and in 4K, featuring a variety of exclusive bonus content not found on the Disney streaming platform.
Will There Be a Season 3?
Andor Season 2 picks up right where Season 1 concluded, bridging the narrative directly into the events of the prequel film, Rogue One. Regrettably, this confirms Season 2 as the final chapter for Andor. Given the established Star Wars chronology, the series has a four-year gap to cover after the Season 1 finale, so viewers should expect significant time jumps.
Of course, this is hardly the end for the Star Wars universe. More live-action films are in the pipeline, including one directed by Shawn Levy and starring Ryan Gosling. There have also been whispers of a Star Wars horror project led by Andor's showrunner, Tony Gilroy.
Numerous Star Wars games are also in the works, such as Bit Company's new tactical release, Star Wars Zero Company. Further announcements are anticipated for Star Wars Day on May 4th.
