Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is out now on Android and iOS

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is now available for iOS and Android! This standalone release offers a definitive, offline experience of the original Pocket Camp.

While the online version's closure disappointed many, Nintendo's delivered on its promise. Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete provides the full Pocket Camp experience without needing in-app purchases or a constant internet connection. Social interaction with other campers is still possible, albeit in a more limited capacity via the new Whisper Pass location and Camper Cards.

Existing players can transfer their save data, ensuring a seamless transition. New ways to earn Leaf Tokens and features previously exclusive to the Pocket Camp Club Monthly Subscription are also included.

A fitting conclusion?

The shutdown of the original Pocket Camp had its drawbacks, but the release of Complete offers a satisfying resolution. An offline version with all original features, plus added content, surpasses what many games achieve.

However, this release highlights the ongoing debate about the lifespan of online-only games and their reliance on developer support.
