Studio Wildcard has recently shared an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, outlining nearly two years of exciting updates for this remastered version of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved. Initially launched in early access in late November 2023, ARK: Survival Ascended has been receiving regular content updates to enhance the gaming experience.

On January 11, Studio Wildcard, based in Redmond, Washington, released its updated roadmap, which extends until late 2026. The first significant update on the agenda is a technical patch scheduled for March 2025, which will upgrade ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance improvements and the reintroduction of support for Nvidia's frame generation, which had been temporarily removed in the second half of 2024 due to engine-related issues.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs individually. This approach aims to manage the game's install size more effectively. Following the update, new content will be introduced in April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

In June 2025, a new premium map will be added as paid DLC, with details to be revealed in the coming months, possibly in early spring. August 2025 will see the addition of another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature.

Looking ahead to 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to remaster ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both will be accompanied by parts of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop previously announced as part of the game's season pass. A remastered version of the Fjordur map is set to be released as a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames will be introduced throughout 2026.

While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have smaller surprises in store for ARK: Survival Ascended over the next two years, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience for players.
