If you were with us in April of last year, you might recall our mention of a quirky strategy RPG called Isekai Dispatcher. Now, the developers behind that unique, retro-inspired 'trapped-in-another-world' game are shifting gears to a more serene and adorable venture with their latest match-three game, Ash & Snow, set to launch on mobile devices on May 15th.
Ash & Snow delivers exactly what fans of match-three games expect: you'll be matching colored blocks, aiming to clear as many as possible to boost your score. Along the way, you'll encounter power-ups that help you clear the board more efficiently and rack up even more points.
The standout feature of Ash & Snow is undoubtedly its two titular mascots: Ash and Snow. These charming kittens serve as your constant companions throughout your puzzle-solving journey, appearing on the main screen or watching from the top left corner as you play.
The game is poised to be a well-crafted release, especially given its backing by an established developer. However, in an era where match-three games often come with unique twists, the inclusion of two kittens might seem quaint. Yet, we can't ignore the proven success of featuring cats (and recently, capybaras) in mobile games, which often translates to higher sales.
With only a month left until the release of Ash & Snow, and with details still somewhat scarce, we'll be keeping a close watch for any additional information leading up to the launch.
