Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Larian Wants Your Help Testing Patch 8

Larian Studios announced a January launch for the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 stress test, accessible via Steam on PC and consoles (Xbox and PlayStation). Mac and GOG users will not have access. Registration is now open.

Larian plans extensive testing to identify and resolve any instability or gameplay issues before the official release. They're actively seeking player assistance, particularly for crossplay testing. The developer acknowledges the complexity of implementing crossplay in a game of Baldur's Gate 3's scale and encourages players to participate. Players are invited to share the registration link with friends or join groups via the Larian Studios Discord Server.

While Patch 8 marks the final major update, Larian commits to ongoing support for modders, promising significant future updates enhancing modding capabilities to facilitate player-created narratives. The official mod tools, released in September, have already seen over 70 million module downloads and over 3,000 mod uploads.
