Blasphemous Launches on Android for the Godless

Author : Grace Jan 12,2025

Blasphemous, the acclaimed 2D platformer drawing inspiration from religious and Spanish folklore, is now available on Android! This release includes all DLC, gamepad support, and a completely redesigned user interface optimized for mobile. An iOS release is planned for later.

The unsettling atmosphere of organized religion serves as a chilling backdrop for Blasphemous. The game's gothic aesthetic, brutal combat, and challenging gameplay are unlike anything else. Now, experience this dark masterpiece on your Android device.

You take on the role of The Penitent One, a warrior tasked with liberating the cursed island of Cvstodia from the malevolent influence of The Miracle. Prepare for relentless battles against grotesque creatures born from twisted religious imagery and Spanish folklore. Expect to die... repeatedly.

Blasphemous' mobile adaptation features a revamped UI and intuitive touch controls. Bluetooth gamepad compatibility is also included for players preferring a more traditional controller experience. All DLC is bundled into this release.

iOS users will need to exercise patience; the iOS version is slated for a late February 2025 release. However, given the game's overwhelmingly positive reception, the wait will undoubtedly be worthwhile.

Mobile platformers often present a challenge due to the limitations of touch controls. The experience can be less than ideal, as I personally discovered with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
