How to Boost Energy with Crystals in R.E.P.O.

Author : Camila May 23,2025

Completing a level in the cooperative game *R.E.P.O.* is a significant achievement. Once you and your squad triumph and reach the Service Station, you can purchase various weapons and upgrades, including the vital Energy Crystals. Here’s a detailed look at what Energy Crystals do in *R.E.P.O.* and how to acquire more of them.

What Are Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.?

Energy Crystals are radiant yellow gems found at the Service Station, available after you conquer the first level. Priced between $7K and $9K, they're most affordable early in the game when the difficulty is lower. If you've managed to navigate the initial challenges without taking too much damage from monsters, you should be able to purchase these crystals right away.

Once you've invested in an Energy Crystal, it will spawn an Energy Container/Station within your R.E.P.O. truck. This container is a game-changer, enabling you to recharge essential tools like the Valuables or Extraction Tracker. Simply place your tools in the bin next to the container, marked by a yellow lightning bolt, to start the recharging process. This feature not only saves you from constantly buying replacements but also helps your team economize over time. It's the perfect preparation for tackling the next wave of enemies, be they Clowns, Gnomes, or Shadow Children.

The Energy Crystals will automatically appear in the container once purchased, so there's no need to worry about them not being in the truck. However, keep in mind that these crystals have a finite lifespan and will degrade with use. They typically have enough energy to refill four battery sections of an item, and six crystals are required to fully recharge the Energy Container. When they're depleted, you'll need to buy new ones to keep using the container.

How To Get More Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.

Energy Crystals are exclusively available at the Service Station, and their high cost means you'll need to strategize to afford them. To ensure you have enough cash, loot and scavenge as many valuables as you can during each level. Only by completing a level with sufficient funds will you be sent to the Service Station by the Taxman.

In particularly challenging locations, it might be wise to focus on surviving with just enough money to pass the level, rather than risking everything. Prioritize your survival and the collection of valuables to secure your next purchase of Energy Crystals.

And that’s the scoop on what Energy Crystals do in *R.E.P.O.* and how to get more. Keep these tips in mind to enhance your gameplay and ensure you're always prepared for the next challenge.
