Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl Actress Michelle Trachtenberg Dies Aged 39

Actress Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her roles in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Gossip Girl," has tragically passed away at the age of 39, as reported by The Post. Authorities have stated that her death is not being treated as suspicious.

According to ABC News, Trachtenberg was discovered deceased by her mother on Wednesday in her New York City apartment near Columbus Circle. It has been reported that she recently underwent a liver transplant and may have been dealing with complications related to the procedure. The news outlet further noted that Trachtenberg is believed to have died of natural causes, with no suspicion of foul play. An autopsy has been scheduled to ascertain the exact cause and manner of her death.

She also portrayed Jenny in the 2004 American teen sex comedy "EuroTrip" and Casey Carlyle in the 2005 American teen sports comedy-drama film "Ice Princess."

In more recent years, Trachtenberg took on the role of Georgina Sparks in the American teen drama series "Gossip Girl," which aired from 2007 to 2012. She reprised this role in the second season of HBO Max's standalone sequel series.
