Cassette Beasts iOS Launch, Android Awaits Patch Approval

Author : Alexander Apr 25,2025

If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of Cassette Beasts, the retro-inspired creature-collecting and battling RPG, and you're using an iOS device, you can start playing right away as it's now available. However, if you're on Android, you might be wondering why the anticipated release has vanished. Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news for Android users.

While iOS players are currently enjoying Cassette Beasts, Android enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer. Developer Bytten Studio has confirmed that the Android release has been temporarily pulled due to pending approval for a new Google Play patch. This patch aims to address some issues that surfaced just before the planned launch.

It's a real letdown, especially since Cassette Beasts combines classic creature-collecting, battling, and overworld exploration in a way that has been highly anticipated. These last-minute delays are unpredictable, and while frustrating, we hope that all issues will be resolved soon, allowing Android players to dive into the game without further delay.

ytBeastly businessIt's an unfortunate reality that game launches don't always go according to plan. What's even more challenging is when a last-minute patch is required, as in this case, and the approval process on Google Play can cause delays.

Given the recent buzz around alternative app stores, perhaps a broader launch strategy involving platforms with quicker approval processes could have mitigated this issue. It's something worth considering, though I anticipate that Cassette Beasts will be back on Google Play and ready for Android users within a few days.

In the meantime, if you're looking for something to keep you entertained until Cassette Beasts returns to Google Play, why not check out some of the top new mobile games we've highlighted in our latest feature on the best five new releases this week?
