Cato: Buttered Cat Is An Upcoming Platformer Puzzle About A Cat With A Piece Of Toast!

A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming to Android! The name itself is a clever blend of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's quirky premise.

Ever wonder what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers of Cato: Buttered Cat did, and the answer is pure, gravity-defying fun – perpetual spinning!

Originally a 2022 BOOOM Gamejam entry by Team Woll, the positive reception led to the development of a full game. Currently available on Steam for PC, Cato: Buttered Cat is soon making its way to Android and other platforms. While the Google Play Store listing isn't yet live, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page for the Android version.

What awaits you in Cato: Buttered Cat?

This puzzle platformer lets you control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, battle enemies, and explore whimsical worlds.

Explore five unique worlds filled with quirky contraptions and 200 levels, including side quests. Uncover a hidden storyline through clues scattered throughout the levels, and customize your cat with 30 different outfits.

The unique gameplay revolves around the cat and toast's contrasting abilities. The cat can climb and run, while the toast acts as a projectile, boosting the cat's reach.

Cato: Buttered Cat is also packed with hidden rooms and Easter eggs. Check out the trailer below!

I eagerly anticipate the Android release! In the meantime, be sure to check out our coverage of Operation Lucent Arrowhead, the Arknights x Rainbow Six Siege crossover.
