Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Post-Launch Support
Critical Fixes and Language Refinements
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has deployed its first post-launch update. Sandfall Interactive announced Hotfix 1.2.2 via Steam on April 30, implementing essential stability improvements and localization refinements.
Key corrections include resolving a game-breaking soft-lock triggered by stunning the Grown Bourgeon enemy, addressing map navigation issues, and enhancing text localization for French, German, and Chinese languages.
The team confirmed ongoing work addressing additional concerns, with more updates forthcoming. While these fixes enhance gameplay quality, community anticipation grows for substantial expansions.
The lead writer recently addressed fan inquiries about potential DLC through Instagram. While not confirming plans, she acknowledged positive reception makes additional content highly probable.
Creative Director Endorses Competing RPG Release
Sandfall Games' Creative Director Guillaume Broche praised a competing RPG launched concurrently with Expedition 33. On April 30 via X (formerly Twitter), Broche encouraged players to experience The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy.
"Following your Expedition journey, don't miss The Hundred Line - an exceptional turn-based RPG crafted with passion by a brilliant team," Broche remarked.
This endorsement responded to Hundred Line co-director Kazutaka Kodaka's earlier praise for Expedition 33. On April 28, Kodaka tweeted: "When you complete Expedition 33, our distinctive Japanese RPG remains ready!" Subsequent posts enthusiastically recommended both acclaimed titles.
Despite launching alongside major competitors like Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line maintains "Very Positive" Steam reviews. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 dominates as 2025's highest-rated title, surpassing 1 million sales within three days.
