Crashlands 2: Major Updates and New Legend Mode Added

Author : Aaliyah May 14,2025

A month after its release, Crashlands 2 has not only been well-received by critics and players but has also received a significant update from developer Butterscotch Shenanigans. This major update introduces a challenging new Legends Mode and a more relaxed Explorer Mode, enhancing the game's appeal to a broader audience.

Legends Mode ramps up the difficulty, making encounters with aliens and flora more intense, while Flux Dabes becomes even more vulnerable. This mode is designed for seasoned players looking for a tougher challenge. On the other hand, Explorer Mode caters to players who prefer a more laid-back experience, perfect for those who want to enjoy the game's fishing mechanics without the pressure of intense combat.

In response to player feedback, Butterscotch Shenanigans has reintroduced the Compendium from the original Crashlands. This feature tracks all the items you've discovered and your progress towards achieving 100% completion, adding a satisfying layer of achievement to the game.

For players who felt the opening of Crashlands 2 was too slow, the update introduces new weapons, gadgets, and trinkets early on, allowing for quicker engagement with the game's full range of features. Further enhancements include adjustable nighttime darkness, expanded worldspace for building, and home teleporters, all contributing to a richer and more dynamic gameplay experience.

With these updates, Crashlands 2 has become an even more compelling title for fans of survival games.
