Turbolento Games is launching their high-tech rubber duck simulation on Android. Welcome to Placid Plastic Duck Simulator, where you simply observe a plastic duck drifting peacefully across a swimming pool. Initially released on Netflix last year, the game is now available as a standalone Android app.
Placid Plastic Duck Simulator is a Genuine Experience, Not a Parody
The game requires nothing but your attention. You arrive at a coastal pool. You float. Gradually, other ducks join you, each with unique appearances and personalities. It’s all about embracing the atmosphere, quite literally.
You can name your ducks in the Collection menu. Their names will hover above them like gentle thoughts in a daydream. Whether you find it humorous or ironic, when a real heatwave rages outside, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator offers the calm retreat you might crave.
The surroundings evolve around you. Daylight fades, stars emerge, and a radio plays a nostalgic melody until you turn it off to listen to the waves.
Morning returns, and you drift smoothly into a second pool. In the distance, an airplane speeds across the sky. Yet your only task is to simply exist.
There are 50 ducks in total, many featuring playful or unconventional designs. Some interact in surprising ways when they collide with each other or with objects in the pool.
From time to time, you’ll unlock one of 15 achievements just by observing the scene. One moment you’re enjoying the sunset, the next a UFO might hover above your pool.
With two pools to explore and an expanding community of rubber ducks content to float, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator is certainly worth experiencing. Download it from the Google Play Store for $1.99. If you’d like a preview of the game, check it out below!
