Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Final Fantasy XIV is offering a free login campaign from January 9th to February 6th, 2025, allowing eligible players with inactive accounts to enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay. This campaign is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

This opportunity coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, which includes new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, notably the return of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message also confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller updates and a cryptic hint regarding Dawntrail's narrative direction.

The Free Login Campaign is a perfect chance for lapsed players to rejoin the world of Eorzea. The 96-hour playtime begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are ineligible.

Square Enix encourages players to verify their eligibility through the Mog Station. While the campaign runs, players can participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th) to earn a minion reward, and anticipate Patch 7.16 on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest side series. This free period allows players to catch up on Dawntrail's story before the arrival of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail in 2025 remains shrouded in mystery.
