Final Fantasy XIV Mobile, the mobile version of the iconic MMORPG that transformed from a near-disaster into a critically acclaimed success for Square Enix, is generating significant excitement. A recent listing on the Chinese iOS App Store suggests that we might see Final Fantasy XIV Mobile launch as early as August 29th.

When Final Fantasy XIV first launched in 2010, it was met with overwhelmingly negative reviews. The initial reception was so poor that Square Enix decided to completely overhaul the game, leading to the release of the highly praised Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Since then, the game has maintained its popularity through continuous expansions and updates, making the prospect of a mobile release incredibly appealing to fans. Our own Shaun Walton has provided an in-depth look at everything we know about the upcoming mobile version.

ytLimit BreakThe big question on everyone's mind is how feature-complete Final Fantasy XIV Mobile will be upon release. A late August launch seems entirely feasible, although given that Tencent's Lightspeed is handling the port, an earlier release for Chinese players cannot be ruled out. A global release is expected to follow soon after. According to an interview with series veteran Naoki Yoshida, the mobile version has been in the works for quite some time, indicating a polished and well-crafted port is on the horizon.
