The transition of Charlie Cox's Daredevil from Netflix to the MCU has sparked speculation about potential comebacks for other members of The Defenders. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, recently expressed his eagerness to reprise his role, stating at LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last played Danny Rand in Season 2 of the Netflix series "Iron Fist" and in the crossover event "The Defenders," where he teamed up with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).
Despite the lukewarm reception to Jones' portrayal of Iron Fist, the successful integration of Daredevil into the MCU has fueled hopes for a revival of The Defenders. Reports have suggested that Marvel is "exploring" the possibility of bringing back the team. Acknowledging the criticism he received, Jones appealed to both fans and Marvel, saying, "Give me a f\*\*\*ing chance, man. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."
The Netflix series, including "Jessica Jones," "Iron Fist," and "Luke Cage," along with "The Defenders," are now considered part of the MCU canon, available on Disney+. The inclusion of Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in "Daredevil: Born Again" further solidifies the connection between the Netflix shows and the broader MCU.
