Fixes to matchmaking and anti-cheat: Apex Legends devs shared future plans

Respawn Entertainment unveils upcoming Apex Legends updates addressing matchmaking and fair play. The video focuses on significant improvements to both systems, offering players a glimpse into the changes.

Matchmaking enhancements include visible skill ratings in unranked modes and optimized queue times. Respawn is also actively addressing concerns regarding score calculations and restrictions on pre-made teams in ranked play.

On the anti-cheat front, the developers are combating team collusion, already seeing a reduction thanks to implemented algorithms. A new penalty notification system for reported players is in development, alongside ongoing efforts to eliminate bots. A sophisticated machine learning model is being created to not only detect bots but also proactively counter their evolution.

Respawn Entertainment reaffirms its commitment to community engagement. The aim is to maintain a fun and competitive environment while upholding the game's integrity.
