Floatopia Is Coming To Android, And It Has Strong Animal Crossing Energy

NetEase Games unveiled their charming life sim, Floatopia, at Gamescom, with a planned multi-platform release, including Android, sometime in 2025. This whimsical game invites players to explore a sky-bound world of islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players farm, fish, and decorate their floating island home.

A Cute Apocalypse

The game's premise begins with a world-ending event, but fear not! This apocalypse is far more akin to "My Time At Portia" than "Fallout." Players inhabit a world of fragmented lands suspended in the sky, populated by humans with diverse, and sometimes unusual, superpowers. The key is discovering the potential in seemingly insignificant abilities.

Island Life and Beyond

As the Island Manager, you'll engage in activities familiar to fans of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley," cultivating crops, cloud fishing, and meticulously designing your home. However, the floating nature of your home opens up opportunities for exploration, allowing travel to exotic locations and interactions with new individuals.

Socializing and Multiplayer

Floatopia offers ample opportunities for socializing, whether through collaborative adventures, island parties, or simply showing off your meticulously crafted paradise to friends. Importantly, multiplayer is entirely optional. Players will encounter a colorful cast of characters, each with their own unique quirks and superpowers.

While a precise release date for 2025 hasn't been confirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
