How To Fix FragPunk Audio Not Working

Author : Bella Mar 22,2025

The highly anticipated hero shooter, FragPunk, has finally arrived on PC, but some players are experiencing a frustrating audio issue—no sound! This makes the game nearly unplayable, as audio cues are crucial in a fast-paced title like this. Fortunately, there are a couple of fixes you can try.

While the console release is delayed, PC players can still jump in and experience the exciting Lancer-based gameplay. But the silence? That needs to be addressed. Thanks to the resourceful FragPunk community, we have two potential solutions:

Disabling Exclusive Mode for FragPunk

  1. Right-click the speaker icon in your PC's system tray.
  2. Select "Sound settings".
  3. Navigate to the "Advanced" section and click "More sound settings".
  4. Right-click your speakers or headphones.
  5. Choose "Properties", then go to the "Advanced" tab.
  6. Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".
  7. Click "Apply", then "OK".
  8. Relaunch FragPunk and check if the audio is restored.

If this doesn't work, there's another method to try:

Running FragPunk as Administrator

  1. Right-click the FragPunk shortcut.
  2. Select "Properties".
  3. Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
  4. Check "Run this program as an administrator".

This grants FragPunk full system access, potentially resolving the audio problem. If neither method works, ensure your in-game audio settings are set to default. If the issue persists, it's likely a game-side problem that needs addressing by the developers.

FragPunk is currently available on PC, with PlayStation and Xbox releases coming soon.
