Framed for Murder at Girls' Boarding School: Was It You?

Author : Aaliyah Mar 28,2025

If you're considering sending your child to a boarding school, you might want to think twice—especially after playing Expelled!, the latest release from inkle, the masterminds behind Overboard. This game plunges you into the high-stakes world of Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls in 1922, where peer pressure, loneliness, and snobbiness are the least of your worries. Here, someone's been pushed out of a window, and you, Verity Amersham, are accused of attempted murder!

In Expelled!, you step into the shoes of Verity, a seemingly innocent schoolgirl. With only one school day to clear your name, you'll navigate a world where characters move and act independently, creating a thrilling race against time. Will you uncover the real culprit to exonerate yourself, frame another student, or resort to brute force with your hockey stick? The choice is yours, and how you play can range from the morally upright to downright devious.

It's not hard to recommend Expelled!, especially considering inkle's track record. They brought us 80 Days, which I consider the best mobile game ever, and the thrilling visual novel Overboard. While Verity might not be as sinister as some of inkle's past protagonists, you're free to guide her path towards innocence, deception, or vigilante justice. And remember, Verity might not be as innocent as she initially appears.

Curious about how it all unfolds? You'll need to dive into Expelled! to discover the truth. And if you're eager to stay updated on the best upcoming releases, you're in the perfect spot. Check out our curated list of the top games slated for 2025!
