Future Marvel Rivals Seasons Will Feature Half the Content of Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Launch with the Fantastic Four!

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is a direct result of the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group.

This super-sized season includes a wealth of new content:

  • Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations – the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four Arrive: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with Season 1, with The Thing and Human Torch joining the roster in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The developers confirmed the increased content in a recent Dev Vision video, emphasizing their desire to launch the Fantastic Four together as a key factor in the season's extended length. While the impact on future season content remains unannounced, it's currently anticipated that the pattern of adding two new heroes or villains per season will continue.

While the absence of Blade from Season 1 has disappointed some fans, the sheer volume of new content and the potential for future additions keeps anticipation high. The excitement surrounding this expanded first season is palpable, leaving players eager to see what NetEase Games has in store next.
