The Game Awards 2024: A Look at the Nominees

Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2024 has unveiled its nominees across 19 categories, culminating in the coveted Game of the Year (GOTY) award. This year's contenders represent a diverse range of titles, from AAA blockbusters to indie darlings.

GOTY 2024: A Battle of Titans

The race for GOTY is particularly fierce this year. Leading the pack with seven nominations is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. However, it faces stiff competition from Astro Bot, the critically acclaimed Balatro, the visually stunning Black Myth: Wukong, the highly anticipated Metaphor: ReFantazio, and the controversial Elden Ring expansion, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Voting is now open to the public until December 11th via The Game Awards' official website and Discord server.

The Awards Ceremony: Where and When?

The Game Awards 2024 will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on December 12th. Viewers can tune in via The Game Awards website, Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and other streaming platforms.
