Genshin Impact 5.7 to feature Skirk, Dahlia

HoYoverse has revealed details for Genshin Impact's upcoming Version 5.7 update, titled "A Space and Time for You," launching June 18. This major content drop introduces new playable characters, story progression, a permanent combat mode, and an Akademiya-designed tactical minigame.

Mysterious Mentor Skirk Joins the Roster

The enigmatic Abyssal figure Skirk - famously known as Childe's elusive mentor - finally becomes playable. Her unique combat system features two distinct fighting styles and a special "Serpent's Subtlety" mechanic.

Accompanying her is Dahlia, a new 4-star Hydro character serving as Deacon of the Church of Favonius. The update's first banner phase will feature Skirk, Dahlia, and Shenhe's rerun, followed by Pyro Archon Mavuika and Emilie in the second phase.

Story Developments in Natlan

The narrative continues from the "Bedtime Story" questline, with escalating tensions between the Abyss Order and Natlan's defenders. Mavuika prepares her forces while Dainsleif returns in a new form to aid the Traveler.

New Gameplay Features

Sumeru Akademiya introduces a simulated adventure combining tactical decisions with rogue-like elements. Players assemble Companion Piece teams and choose between rainforest or desert expeditions.

The permanent "Stygian Onslaught" mode offers rotating bosses across six difficulty tiers, rewarding Artifacts and the new "Dust of Enlightenment" - allowing substat rerolls on max-level Artifacts.

Meanwhile, "Travelers' Tales: Gilded Chapter" delivers slice-of-life stories featuring fan-favorite characters like Thoma and Neuvillette.
