Best Glaceon Ex Decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket

Glaceon Ex and Leafeon Ex made their Pokémon TCG Pocket debut in the Triumphant Light expansion, marking the first time Eeveelutions received the EX treatment. Here's a look at top-performing Glaceon Ex decks.

Glaceon Ex boasts a 90-damage Freezing Wind attack, but its Snowy Terrain ability is what sets it apart. Snowy Terrain inflicts 10 damage on your opponent's Active Pokémon during each Pokémon Checkup if Glaceon Ex is active.

A Pokémon Checkup happens at the start of each player's turn to check for status conditions, effectively making Snowy Terrain deal 20 damage per round in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

This makes Glaceon Ex a valuable addition to several Water-type decks:

Starmie Ex (Water Energy) Deck

This deck utilizes Starmie Ex's speed and Glaceon Ex's consistent chip damage to overwhelm opponents.

  • 2x Eevee
  • 2x Glaceon Ex
  • 1x Vaporeon (Mythical Island)
  • 2x Staryu
  • 2x Starmie Ex
  • 1x Palkia Ex
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 2x Dawn
  • 2x Irida
  • 2x Misty
  • 2x Poké Ball

Starmie Ex's zero retreat cost and Glaceon Ex's low retreat cost allow easy switching, facilitated by Dawn and Vaporeon's Wash Out ability (shifting Water energy). Palkia Ex offers a powerful one-hit knockout potential with Dimensional Storm. Misty adds a chance for lucky wins, while Irida (a new Supporter from Triumphant Light) heals Water-energized Pokémon for 40 HP.

Greninja (Water Energy) Deck

This deck focuses on consistent chip damage from Greninja and Glaceon Ex.

  • 2x Eevee
  • 2x Glaceon Ex
  • 2x Froakie
  • 2x Frogadier
  • 2x Greninja
  • 1x Palkia Ex
  • 2x Professor’s Research
  • 2x Irida
  • 2x Misty
  • 2x Poké Ball
  • 1x Pokémon Communication

With Glaceon Ex and a single Greninja active, you inflict 40 passive damage alongside their attacks. Pokémon Communication helps you quickly assemble a Greninja line, while Irida provides crucial healing. Misty remains useful for stealing victories, and Palkia Ex serves as an energy sink.

These are two of the strongest Glaceon Ex decks currently available in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Irida's versatility makes Glaceon Ex a formidable card in the meta.

Pokémon TCG Pocket is available now on mobile devices.
