What To Do With Golden Idols In Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols

Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some subtly integrated into the gameplay. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden within Act 3, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," don't appear in your quest log. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't traded for progression; instead, they offer a significant gold reward.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through the time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). Within Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat, these idols are located:

Utzaal:
- Glorious Idol
- Golden Idol
- Grand Idol
Aggorat:
- Exceptional Idol
- Elegant Idol

These idols are typically found on the ground or pedestals in side rooms, not as enemy drops.

Cashing In Your Idols

Once collected, return to Oswald in the northern part of the Ziggurat Encampment. He's the vendor who will purchase your idols for a substantial sum:

Golden Idol: 500 Gold
Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 Gold. Given their limited inventory space and sole purpose as high-value trade items, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your gold and free up inventory slots.
