In *Fields of Mistria*, expanding your farm is crucial for accommodating more crops and animals as you progress. The Farm Expansion extends your farm's width across the river to the right, providing additional land for structures and crop spaces. To unlock this feature, head to the **Carpenter’s Shop** located in the Eastern Road area. You can purchase the expansion as early as your first year, but there are significant prerequisites to meet first.

You need to help the town reach **Rank 55** by earning enough Renown points. Additionally, you must complete the Stone Refinery repair quest, which also requires Town Rank 55. These steps are interconnected, ensuring you progress through the game's various systems before expanding your farm.

Once you meet these initial requirements, you'll need to gather the necessary materials for the expansion, which represents a substantial investment in the game.

Visit the Carpenter’s Shop on the Eastern Road, northeast of Mistria’s town center. From the shop’s main menu, select 'Farm Expansion' at the bottom to view the requirements.

The first requirement is **40,000 Tesserae**, which will take time to accumulate. Engage in gathering, farming, and completing quests. Regularly visit the Mines, fish when possible, and contribute new items to the Museum to boost your Tesserae count.

Next, you'll need **50 x Refined Stone**. To obtain this, you must repair the **Stone Refinery**, which requires reaching Town Rank 55 and repairing the Inn beforehand.

Finally, gather **50 x Hard Wood**, the easiest material to acquire. With a **Copper Axe**, you can chop **large tree stumps** around your farm and beyond, each yielding 2 x Hard Wood. You can also obtain Hard Wood from **Balor’s Cart** on specific days or by contributing enough items to the Museum.

Once you have all the required materials and funds, return to the Carpenter’s Shop and purchase the expansion. This will extend your farm eastward across the river, complete with a new bridge for access.

That's how you build the farm expansion in *Fields of Mistria*. For more tips and guides on the game, including crafting Essence Stones, be sure to explore our other content.
