Even though Pokemon Day 2025 has passed, The Pokemon Company continues to delight fans with exciting events. The latest addition to *Pokemon GO* introduces the adorable yet formidable Kubfu, and here's how you can catch this Wushu Pokemon.

The Might and Mastery event is now live in *Pokemon GO*, bringing a host of new features and, most importantly, the chance to catch Kubfu. Since its debut in the *Pokemon Sword and Shield* DLC, fans have been eager to see Kubfu and its evolution, Urshifu, in the mobile game. Now, the wait is over, and you can get your hands on Kubfu by completing a few tasks.

To start your journey towards catching Kubfu, navigate to the Special Research tab in *Pokemon GO* and look for the "Might and Mastery" section. Here's a detailed list of the tasks you need to complete:

Research TaskReward
Explore 3 km15 Poke Balls
Defeat 3 Team GO Rocket members5 Revives
Use a supereffective Charged AttackUse a super effective Charged Attack

Once you've completed these three tasks, Kubfu will appear, and you'll earn 891 XP for adding this Pokemon to your collection. Remember, the Special Research for Kubfu is available only until Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:59 AM local time, so don't miss out on this limited-time opportunity.

Can You Catch More Than One Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

If one Kubfu isn't enough for you, *Pokemon GO* has you covered with the Paid Special Research – Fuzzy Fighter pass. For $8, you can access additional tasks and the chance to catch a second Kubfu. Here are the rewards you can expect from the pass:

  • One Incense
  • Two Premium Battle Passes
  • One Star Piece
  • Encounters with Season-themed Pokémon
  • A rare encounter with a Dynamax Kubfu

However, the Fuzzy Fighter pass is only available for purchase until March 10, 2025, at 10 AM local time. Once you've bought it, the tasks will remain accessible, giving you ample time to complete them without rushing.

Can You Evolve Kubfu in Pokemon GO?

While Kubfu is undeniably cute, competitive players are keen to evolve it into Urshifu. As of now, evolving Kubfu into Urshifu isn't possible in *Pokemon GO*. However, given that Kubfu's evolution is featured in the loading screen of the Mighty and Mastery event, it's likely that this feature will be added in future updates.

That's everything you need to know about catching Kubfu in *Pokemon GO*. For more, check out all the free item promo codes for the mobile game in March 2025.
