Fans of *Star Wars Jedi: Survivor* were thrilled to see new figures included in this latest wave of Star Wars toys. Nightsister Merrin is receiving a new figure, while the protagonist, Cal Kestis, is featured in a three-pack set alongside Turgle and Skoova Stev. Notably, Cal's figure comes with multiple interchangeable heads, including one sporting a handlebar mustache. According to Houle, this specific look was a top priority for the release.
"We just wanted to have fun with it," Houle shared with IGN. "This is one of my favorite packs that we revealed at the panel. We started with the handlebar mustache and mullet, then added the clean-cut look and the short beard. For us, the primary look is almost the handlebar, and it's just so much fun."
As for Merrin, her inclusion was a natural choice, given her significance in the *Fallen Order/Survivor* saga. The challenge lay in accurately depicting her unique Force abilities.
"It's tough to have Cal without Merrin," Reiff noted. "We're thrilled to finally include Merrin, but capturing that Force effect, the green blast, and all the intricate details of her new costume and face tattoos using inkjet technology was a challenge. She's a really cool character, and we know fans are invested in her, so we wanted to do her justice."
This year's lineup also includes two familiar faces, Han Solo and Chewbacca. Despite the numerous figures released over the years, Houle believes there's still room for improvement.
"We haven't updated them in a while," Houle explained. "They needed a refresh, so we used entirely new tools to create brand new figures with the latest articulation. This allows fans to enjoy these classic characters with the most advanced technology we have. We've also made several updates beyond articulation. We learned a lot from our previous Wookiee figures, especially regarding managing their long hair."
Houle continued, "Despite the long hair, using softer plastics allowed Chewbacca to move his head seamlessly. We added articulation to Han as well, but we avoided a thigh break to keep the red bars on his right thigh intact. Instead, we added articulation to the top of the boot, which maintains the clean look."

One of the most striking figures in the lineup is The Ronin, inspired by the anime anthology series *Star Wars: Visions*. True to the series, The Ronin is a black-and-white figure, with the only color coming from his red katana lightsaber. As a Celebration-exclusive release, both Houle and Reiff focused on getting the small details perfect.
"We stayed true to the original design," Houle said. "We incorporated learnings from Japanese culture into the packaging. The box's premium look, the magnets for opening, the clean aesthetics, the watercoloring, and the hidden accessories at the top of the box all received meticulous attention. Everything from packaging to design and engineering was crafted with care."
Reiff added, "We even used Japanese language for the exclusive packaging, which we don't typically do. Since we're here in Japan, we wanted to fully embrace the culture and create a special package that was entirely in Japanese."
Finally, Hasbro also catered to fans of the 1:1 scale Black Series helmet line, unveiling a stunningly detailed Death Trooper helmet during their Celebration panel.
"It's a completely new tooled helmet for the Black Series Premium roleplay line," Reiff explained. "It looks like it's straight out of the movie, with weathering, lighting details, and interactive features. Press a button on the side to control the chin lights and the spectre sensor lights. We worked closely with Lucasfilm using original files to capture all the details of the helmet accurately and added our own touches to the interior, which the real ones never had."
