Hasbro Unveils New Marvel Legends Figures Inspired by Marvel vs. Capcom

Author : Alexander Jul 14,2025

If you're a fan of Marvel Legends and classic arcade action, Hasbro has some exciting news for you. The toy giant has unveiled an all-new wave of Marvel Gamerverse action figures inspired by the legendary Marvel vs. Capcom video game series. These figures are designed to capture the essence of the iconic 2D sprite aesthetic, bringing a nostalgic yet fresh twist to beloved characters.

This new lineup features a mix of both single figures and dynamic two-packs, depending on the scale of the characters included. The full Marvel vs. Capcom roster consists of:

  • Wolverine vs. Silver Samurai
  • Psylocke vs. Thanos
  • Captain America vs. Venom
  • War Machine vs. Omega Red
  • Gargantos (previously known as Shuma-Gorath)
  • Juggernaut

While most of these characters have appeared in the Marvel Legends line before—with the exception of Gargantos—this wave takes design inspiration directly from their pixel-perfect in-game appearances. Wolverine, for example, sports exaggerated claws and a stylized mask reminiscent of his classic look. Venom shines in his authentic blue color scheme, staying true to the game's visual style. Psylocke stands out with her extreme articulation, showcasing just how much detail Hasbro has packed into this release.

Of course, not every character from the expansive Marvel vs. Capcom universe is featured in this wave. However, collectors can always revisit previous Marvel Legends releases to complete their collection. Even more obscure characters like Marrow and Blackheart have made appearances over the years. For fans looking to round out the Capcom side of the roster, Jada Toys’ Street Fighter line offers a solid alternative for characters like Ryu and Chun-Li.

In addition to the Gamerverse wave, Hasbro also showcased its upcoming Fantastic Four: First Steps figure line. This set includes the core Fantastic Four team plus Julia Garner’s take on the Silver Surfer.

For the Marvel Gamerverse Marvel vs. Capcom figures, preorders will roll out gradually throughout June, with an expected release date set for Fall 2025.
