Kaiju No. 8 Game Opens Global Pre-Registration for Android and PC

Akatsuki Games has officially launched pre-registration for Kaiju No. 8 The Game on Android devices worldwide. The developer released the first gameplay trailer in June 2024, ending a nearly year-long silence about this highly anticipated manga and anime adaptation coming to mobile and PC platforms.

Global Release Date Confirmed

The official app store listing reveals an August 31, 2025 launch date. This collaborative project between Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G. faithfully recreates the distinctive atmosphere of Naoya Matsumoto's hit manga series.

The gameplay combines the anime's cinematic intensity with strategic turn-based combat mechanics. Players must first expose a Kaiju's vulnerable core before executing their most devastating attacks.

Signature Characters and New Storylines

Players will command fan-favorite characters including Mina Ashiro, Soshiro Hoshina, and Kikoru Shinomiya - all represented with detailed 3D models performing their signature combat techniques from the series.

While the game includes key story arcs from the original, it also expands the Kaiju No. 8 universe with completely original narratives beyond Kafka Hibino's journey.

Pre-Registration Bonuses Available

Akatsuki Games is offering escalating rewards based on global pre-registration numbers, including the exclusive 4-star [Aiming for Greater Heights] Mina Ashiro character.

The newly released trailer showcases detailed character models of Defense Force officers and terrifying Kaiju designs. Players can currently pre-register through the Google Play Store.
