Author : George Mar 21,2025

Embark on a rewarding side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: The Axe From the Lake. These optional tasks often yield valuable rewards, making them well worth your time. This guide details how to complete this intriguing quest.

How to Start "The Axe From the Lake" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To begin, head to the Tachov tavern and speak with Zdenyek the Mouth. Ask him to share something insightful; he'll reveal details about a legendary axe hidden within the lake, setting your quest in motion.

How to Find the Axe From the Lake

Before venturing to the objective marker, gather a spade. These are commonly found in graveyards or can be purchased from general traders in settlements. The spade is crucial for a later step.

Head to the objective marker, noting its extensive area. Begin at the pier, following the northward path. Henry will comment on an undamaged tree and later, a large rock, guiding your progress.

Eventually, you'll find a gravesite near a tree. Dig it up to uncover a gemstone silver ring, five marigolds, and a broken axe—the quest's namesake.

Repairing the Axe

Take the broken axe to blacksmith Radovan in Tachov for repairs. You'll need a fastening material and 699.5 groschen. Fastening materials are typically available from Radovan himself.

Once repaired, the broken axe transforms into the Adorned Axe. Return to Zdenyek to complete the quest and claim your reward. The Adorned Axe is yours to keep and use in battle.

Congratulations! You've completed "The Axe From the Lake." For more Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guides and tips, including how to treat the wounded in "Finger of God" and a comprehensive look at romance options, check out The Escapist.
