KOF AFK Early Access Arrives in Canada and Thailand

The King of Fighters AFK is now available in early access for players in Thailand and Canada! Fans in these regions can download the game immediately via Google Play or the iOS App Store. Early access players are guaranteed to recruit Mature from the Orochi Clan.

Following last week's pre-registration launch, this retro RPG-inspired mobile title offers a fresh take on the beloved fighting game franchise. NetMarble has confirmed that player progress will transfer to the full release.

As the name suggests, King of Fighters AFK brings iconic characters from the classic beat-'em-up series to mobile devices. Players build teams of distinct fighters, crafting diverse formations for engaging 5v5 battles.

No Rugal Allowed

KoF AFK faces a challenge in winning back fans, especially considering the discontinuation of King of Fighters Allstar and its popular crossovers (such as with WWE). This new entry ventures further from the original series' genre.

However, the game's Neo-Geo Pocket-inspired sprites and the guaranteed recruitment of Mature for early access players might entice some. Whether it can overcome skepticism among fans remains to be seen. Hopefully, it delivers enjoyable, casual action.
