In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (Pirate Yakuza), recruiting Surfer Jay requires obtaining Kraken-Chan, a blue plush. This guide details how to acquire both.

Surfer Jay in Pirate Yakuza

Surfer Jay, a high-stat recruit in Honolulu, presents a slightly challenging recruitment process. The easiest approach is to first acquire Kraken-Chan in Madlantis.

Navigate to the claw machine arcade in the tent opposite the Madlantis Golf Range. The UFO Catcher Game may contain Kraken-Chan, but if not, ask the attendant to change the prizes.

Kraken-Chan plush needed to recruit Surfer Jay in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Winning Kraken-Chan might require multiple attempts; ensure you have sufficient funds. Strategically use the claw to nudge the plush into the collection slot.

Once you have Kraken-Chan, return to Honolulu. Locate Surfer Jay at Tropical Coco in the Anaconda Shopping Center (use the mini-map to find recruitable members). After a conversation revealing his relationship woes, gift him Kraken-Chan to add him to your crew.

While Surfer Jay doesn't offer unique perks as First Mate or Boarding Squad Leader, completing his recruitment is essential for Pirate Yakuza completionists.
