Marvel Rivals: NetEase Unveils Victorious Star

Official website data reveals surprising character popularity in Marvel Rivals. In "quick play," Jeff reigned supreme, outpacing Venom and Cloak & Dagger. However, competitive play painted a different picture. On PC, Luna Snow, Cloak & Dagger, and Mantis led the pack, while on consoles, Cloak & Dagger, Penny Parker, and Mantis dominated.

A fascinating twist: Mantis, despite her popularity, was also the most frequently defeated hero in competitive mode, leading on both PC and consoles, surpassing Hela, Loki, and Magic. Consoles saw a broader success, with 14 additional characters boasting win rates exceeding 50%.

Conversely, "quick play" saw Storm, Black Widow, and Wolverine lagging in popularity, while Nemore occupied that unfortunate position in competitive matches.

Marvel Rivals, after a surge of over 500 mods in a single month, is now facing controversy. Nexus Mods removed modifications replacing Captain America's head with images of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, sparking considerable user backlash.

Nexus Mods owner, TheDarkOne, explained in a private Reddit discussion that both Trump and Biden-themed mods were removed simultaneously to avoid accusations of bias. This action, he stated, was taken to maintain neutrality.

Curiously, YouTube gaming channels have remained conspicuously silent on this matter.
