Mesopotamia Adventure Game 'My Father Lied' Set for May

Author : Ryan Jan 31,2025

Uncover the mystery surrounding your father's disappearance in "My Father Lied," a captivating point-and-click adventure game launching May 30th!

Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to unravel the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery deepened by the recent revelation of a previously unknown sibling.

Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins after a team split, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. Employing a unique blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including hand-crafted cutscenes, he delivers stunning visuals optimized for even low-spec PCs. The gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging players to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore richly detailed environments. Alameen cites influences such as Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the chilling works of H.P. Lovecraft.

"My Father Lied" will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration isn't yet available. Stay connected with Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram for updates. And watch out for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign!
