Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta: October 28th (PS Plus), October 31st (All)
The October 23rd showcase revealed the open beta's launch date: October 28th for PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5, and October 31st for everyone else across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Cross-play will be fully enabled.
Beta Access and Download:
PS Plus members on PS5 gain early access (October 28th-30th). The beta runs until November 3rd for all players. Pre-downloads begin October 27th (PS Plus) and October 30th (others). Ensure you have 18GB of free space.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Content:
The open beta features character creation (progress carries over to the full game), a story trial (tutorial and Chatacabra fight), and a challenging Doshaguma Hunt (supports multiplayer or NPC hunters).
Beta Rewards:
All beta participants receive in-game rewards (Palico pendant, Seikret, Mega Potions, Rations) redeemable as DLC upon the full game's release on February 28, 2025.
New Trailer Reveals Oilwell Basin and the Black Flame:
A new trailer introduced the Oilwell Basin, a fiery locale with oil wells and new monsters like the Ajarakan and Rompopolo. The apex predator, the Black Flame (resembling a giant squid), was also revealed. The trailer also highlighted the people of Azuz and their connection to the Everforge.
