As a fan, I'm thrilled with this title. The stunning graphics, epic battles with diverse monsters, beautiful and delicious food, and impressive gear and weapons have all contributed to my enthusiasm. Yes, the food is so good it's worth mentioning twice! In this article, I'll briefly discuss the game and its system requirements.

What is the project about?

The story in "Monster Hunter Wilds" is not its strongest suit—it's clichéd and somewhat uninteresting. However, the series has never been about the narrative. The protagonist, who can now speak, engages in dialogues that feel AI-generated, spanning six in-game chapters. Yet, players are drawn to the game for its intense, lengthy, and thrilling monster battles, each unique in its own way.

In the game, you play as a protagonist (male or female) exploring uncharted lands as part of an expedition. The expedition's purpose is to investigate the appearance of a child named Nata, found in the desert, suggesting that these supposedly uninhabited lands might hold more secrets. Nata is the sole survivor of a tribe attacked by a mysterious creature known as the "White Ghost." The attempt to weave drama into the narrative adds a touch of absurdity, especially when the locals, who have never invented weapons, are baffled by the protagonist's use of them.

While the story has become more structured and detailed, it still doesn't qualify as a full-fledged story-driven game. The game often limits player freedom, enforcing a strict script that can feel exhausting by the tenth hour of gameplay. The campaign lasts about 15-20 hours, and for those focused on hunting, the story might feel more like an obstacle. Fortunately, most dialogues and cutscenes can be skipped, which is a significant plus for players like me who prefer to dive straight into the action.

Hunting in "Monster Hunter Wilds" has been simplified. When you hit a monster, wounds appear on its body. By holding the right buttons, you can destroy these wounds, dealing massive damage and causing parts of the monster to drop, which are now automatically collected—a convenient feature that deserves praise. The game also introduces new rideable pets called Seikret, which automatically run at maximum speed toward your hunting target or any point on the map. If you're knocked down, Seikret can pick you up almost instantly, saving you from lengthy recovery animations and potential devastating blows. This feature has been a lifesaver for me, especially when my HP is low.

Seikret's ability to automatically navigate to your destination is another welcome addition, eliminating the need to constantly check the map. Fast travel to the camp is also available, making navigation even smoother.

In "Monster Hunter Wilds," you won't see health bars for monsters, just like in previous games. Instead, you must read the enemy's movements, animations, and sounds to gauge their damage. However, your fluffy companion will announce the monster's various states, adding a new layer to the gameplay. Monsters now use the environment more strategically, crawling into crevices or climbing ledges, and some can form packs, leading to multi-enemy battles. In such situations, you can call for backup from live players or NPCs, making the experience more enjoyable and efficient, even in solo mode.
