In *NieR: Automata*, while some materials are more abundant, they're no less crucial for your arsenal of upgrades. Whether you're enhancing a multitude of weapons or focusing on a select few, you'll find yourself in need of vast quantities of resources. One such commonly required material is Dented Plates, which you'll need in bulk for various upgrades.
Where To Farm Dented Plates In NieR: Automata
Dented Plates are frequently dropped by the following machines:
- Small Biped (All Variants)
- Small Flyer (All Variants)
- Small Sphere (All Variants)
These basic enemies are ubiquitous across different playthroughs and chapters, making them a reliable source for Dented Plates. However, simply respawning enemies by fast traveling or wandering around isn’t the most effective strategy. For a more efficient farming method, head to the pit where you first encounter Adam during the story.
Fast-travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point, then proceed deeper into the ruins until you reach the pit. Here, you'll find an endless spawn of machines, primarily comprised of basic Bipeds. These enemies, even if they're at a lower level, have a favorable drop rate for Dented Plates. This location is also ideal for farming Titanium Alloy.
If you prefer a more dynamic approach, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of Bipeds forming phalanxes with spears. These groups often yield at least one Dented Plate. Exploring the forest will also put you in contact with wildlife, perfect for obtaining Beast Hide. Note that higher-level Bipeds have an increased chance of dropping Dented Plates, so advancing through the story will not only expose you to more Bipeds but also to higher-level ones, boosting your chances of securing these valuable resources.
To enhance your farming efficiency further, consider equipping drop-rate up plug-in chips. Just ensure you don't die and lose them permanently.
