Inferno Dragon Evolution Makes Its Mark in Clash Royale After Nearly a Decade

Clash Royale has introduced a major evolution upgrade for the Inferno Dragon, arriving nearly ten years after the Legendary card first appeared without an evolved form. To celebrate this fiery transformation, Supercell teamed up with Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola for a clever reveal campaign.

Witness a Fiery Negotiation!

A decade after its debut, the Inferno Dragon takes starring role in a new Clash Royale trailer featuring Ismo Leikola as its eccentric Hollywood agent, negotiating for better career opportunities.

The playful storyline shows the dragon abandoning its Clash Royale responsibilities to pursue fame in Hollywood.

The evolved Inferno Dragon brings significant gameplay improvements. Unlike the standard version that resets its damage ramp when switching targets, the evolved variant maintains its escalating power for greater battlefield impact.

New Season Flames to Life

Titled How to Evolve Your Dragon!, this season introduces the Inferno Dragon Evolution alongside the return of the competitive 2v2 League mode. Players can team up with friends or random allies to climb the leaderboards.

Milestone Events beginning at Arena 7 offer rewards including 3 Lumberjack Evolution Shards, an Epic Book of Cards, and special cosmetics. Crown Chase events deliver unique battle banners and additional evolution shards throughout the season.

To highlight the new evolution mechanics, developers have scheduled special game modes:
- Inferno Dragon Evolution Draft (June 2-9)
- Inferno Dragon Challenge (June 6-9)
- Evolution Mayhem (June 9-16) allowing 4 Evolution Cards per deck
- Magical Trio (June 16-23)
- 4 Card Showdown (June 23-30)
- Evolution Bonanza (June 30-July 7) featuring up to 8 Evolution Cards
