Path of Exile 2: Delirium's Fog Unraveled

Author : Ava Jan 22,2025

Path of Exile 2's Atlas offers four main endgame encounters: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE Leagues, is detailed in this guide, covering initiation, gameplay, the Simulacrum Pinnacle map, the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, and rewards.

PoE 2 Delirium and the Fog Mechanic

Delirium Mirror Icon Atlas map nodes guaranteeing endgame events use specific icons. A Delirium Mirror node is marked with a black and white icon resembling the mirror itself. A Delirium Precursor Tablet placed in a Lost Tower will also guarantee a Delirium event.

Within a Delirium map, near your starting point, find the multicolored, shattered-glass Delirium Mirror. Approaching it triggers a ghostly energy effect; interacting with it initiates the encounter, creating a large circle of Fog.

The Fog moves across the map; enemy difficulty increases with progression. Leaving the Fog ends the encounter and resets the map. Enemies within the Fog are enhanced and can drop unique Delirium rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (for summoning the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors within the Fog, when approached, spawn additional enemies and loot.

Two random bosses, Kosis and Omniphobia, might appear (with their own HP bars). These aren't Pinnacle bosses but can appear during the Pinnacle event.

Delirium Pinnacle Event: The Simulacrum

Each endgame event offers items to summon a Pinnacle Boss. High-tier Waystones in Delirium Fog yield Simulacrum Splinters. 300 Splinters combine to create a Simulacrum for the Realmgate.

Activating the Simulacrum initiates a 15-wave encounter of increasing difficulty. Delirium bosses have a higher chance of spawning in later waves. Completion rewards two Delirium Passive points.

Delirium Passive Skill Tree

Delirium Passive Skill Tree The Atlas Passive Skill Tree includes the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, modifying Delirium events for increased rewards or added mechanics. Access it via the Atlas Map's top-left button; it's located on the top right of the Atlas tree.

This white, mirror-shaped tree features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each Simulacrum completion grants two points; increasing difficulty is necessary for each new Notable node.

Prioritize "You Can't Just Wake Up From This One," "Get Out Of My Head!," and "They're Coming To Get You" for optimal rewards without significant drawbacks.

PoE 2 Delirium Event Rewards

Distilled Emotions Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses also frequently drop them.

These Currencies anoint Amulets with Notable Passive Skills, eliminating the need for Passive Skill Point investment. Hover over a node to see the required combination; right-click a Distilled Emotion to open the Instilling window. Place your Amulet and the correct Emotions to create the Anoint.

Distilled Emotions also add guaranteed Modifiers to Waystones, increasing the Delirious debuff and mob power within the Fog.

Simulacrum Splinters create the Simulacrum for the Realmgate, leading to a 15-wave event rewarding Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed Unique item.
