Pikmin Bloom Celebrates 3.5 Years with Retro Theme

Author : Joshua Jun 14,2025

With its 3.5th anniversary just around the corner, Pikmin Bloom is gearing up for a nostalgic celebration that pays homage to Nintendo’s rich history. While the festivities may draw inspiration from a bygone era, the charm of reconnecting with classic Nintendo gaming hardware from the '80s and '90s makes it all the more special.

Mark your calendars for May 1st, when brand new Nintendo Game Consoles ’80-’95 Decor Pikmin will become available through event missions. These adorable Pikmin are dressed to impress in iconic designs inspired by legendary Nintendo consoles, bringing a wave of retro flair into your gameplay.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. The event also honors Nintendo’s origins as a traditional toy manufacturer with the introduction of the Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin. These unique Pikmin showcase a design based on the original playing card decks produced by Nintendo long before they entered the world of video games.

While many fans might be especially drawn to the Nintendo hardware-inspired looks, it's worth appreciating how this event bridges generations of Nintendo innovation. Interestingly, although the Pikmin series originally launched on the GameCube, it seems that console won't be featured in this particular decor lineup—making the omission all the more curious.

Still, players have plenty to look forward to between May 1st and May 31st. By completing event missions, you can earn Game Button Cells, which can then be used to grow the new Decor Pikmin. Premium Event Pass holders will also enjoy additional exclusive perks throughout the celebration.
