Players are horrified by the demo of \"Game of Thrones: Kingsroad\"

Even before its official announcement, many observers criticized Game of Thrones: Kingsroad's visuals, comparing them to a PlayStation 3-era licensed title or a typical mobile game. Despite the initial negativity, some remained optimistic, citing the lack of compelling Game of Thrones games as a potential catalyst for success.

The Steam Next Fest demo, however, silenced these optimists. The game proved overwhelmingly disappointing.

Players universally panned Kingsroad's outdated combat, graphics, and numerous design choices indicative of its mobile origins. Many labeled it a simple port, though even if not, its visuals strongly resemble a 2010-era game.

While some positive reviews appear on the Steam demo page—often expressing generic enthusiasm for the full release—their authenticity is questionable. The possibility of bot reviews or unwavering optimism from the initial supporters remains unclear.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is slated for release on PC (Steam) and mobile devices, though a concrete release date is yet to be announced.
