Pocket Gamer Awards 2024 winners and game of the year announced

After a month of nominations and a month of voting, the winners of the 2024 Pocket Gamer Awards have been announced! While many anticipated winners took home awards, there were also some delightful surprises among the public's choices. This year has been exceptionally strong for mobile gaming, a fact clearly reflected in the impressive selection of winners.

This year's awards mark a significant milestone, showcasing the incredible growth of the mobile gaming industry since the inaugural Pocket Gamer Awards in 2010. Witnessing the nomination and voting process from October has been a truly rewarding experience. The high volume of votes is impressive, but more importantly, this year's winners represent the breadth and depth of the mobile gaming landscape like never before.

The winners represent a diverse range of developers and publishers, including industry giants like NetEase (with their Sony IP: Destiny), Tencent-backed Supercell, and Scopely, alongside established publishers such as Konami and Bandai Namco, and beloved indie developers like Rusty Lake and Emoak. This year also saw a remarkable number of successful ports, mirroring the trend of PC games adapting to mobile platforms, but in reverse. The three award-winning ports are a testament to this trend.
