Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been prolific lately, releasing a steady stream of titles. Following their recent deck-building game, Zoeti, comes The Darkside Detective, a quirky puzzle game, and its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (both released simultaneously!).

Delving into the Darkside Detective Universe

The game unfolds on a misty, atmospheric night in Twin Lakes, a town where the strange, supernatural, and utterly absurd are commonplace. Players control Detective Francis McQueen and his endearingly inept partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, as they navigate the underfunded Darkside Division of the Twin Lakes Police Department.

Nine engaging cases await, each a bite-sized adventure brimming with humor and bizarre scenarios. Expect to encounter time-traveling enigmas, flesh-hungry tentacles, carnival mysteries, and even mafia zombies! See the action for yourself in the trailer below:

The Darkside Detective is a delightful homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, sci-fi series, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone hint at the game's playful nature: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's humor is a standout feature, woven seamlessly into every pixel. The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. Interestingly, A Fumble in the Dark can be enjoyed independently of its predecessor, also available on Google Play.
